I felt like I was at home, very cozy, clean and nice.
The staff was great and the facilities were very nice. There was a computer that we could use which came in handy. The included breakfast in the morning was delightful. We really liked the lobby area - it was very inviting. We spent quite a bit of time just hanging out there visiting.
Everything was really great. I guess the only thing was a lack of hot water in the shower a couple times the first couple days we were there. However, by the end of our stay, there was always ample hot water.
The outer facade was appealing, as in the pictures, and the view from the 4th floor balcony was fantastic.
There is no elevator, and in order to get in and out of the hotel you have to ring the front desk, which the people at reception get angry about because it wakes them up if you are out late. The hotel jacuzzi costs an ungodly $50 for one hour, and the rooms, while clean, definitely had a strange smell to them. Also, there were no tv's inside the the tv cabinets you see pictured on the hotel website (we got 2 rooms, both w/o tv's) and to top it off, we were charged an extra 5% to pay w/ a credit card (information we had never been made aware of previously) as well as a $20 charge for bringing a friend up to the room for about 4 hours.
Very quaint hotel. They give you coco leaf tea when you arrive. The hotel has a garden you can relax in. The room is very clean with a small flat screen tv mounted on the wall. The shower was very basic and could be nicer but I really enjoyed my time here. They also give you a free pisco sour. The location is a bit removed from the main square but it is in San Blas where there are many markets and art galleries.
The shower is very basic and could use an upgrade.
From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome and comfortable. We had many questions that the personnel were happy to sit and answer for us. We were even happier when we realized we were no more than 10 minutes outside the main plaza - just far enough that it wasn't loud at night. The entire San Blas area seemed to us very safe, comfortable, and a wonderful place to explore and wander. We would definitely love to return to this Hotel if we had the chance.
camere piccolissime, scarsa colazione, rumorosità scarso comfort,
